I’m curious if most in the Wiz community would still prefer Poole over Ayton. Obviously, it’s very early in the season and Poole should play better at some point…we think.

But currently the eye test matches the bad numbers. I’m disappointed in the lack of creation on ball, it’s surprising after watching him with the Warriors how hard he has to work to score with off balance or different kind of release shots. I see the three point percentage eventually rising but if he’s more off ball because he can’t be relied upon as a lead guard, that’s not an efficient player if he shoots 3s in the low/mid 30s.

It’s wild how infrequently Ayton gets to the free throw line and it seems he is not going to develop as a passer or three point shooter any time soon. But, one year less on the contract, great rebounder, at least an average defender.

I think I’ve flipped to thinking that Ayton would’ve been a better acquisition than Poole. Curious to hear others thoughts…and hopefully Poole makes this look like a dumb question by 2024 🙏

It’s been 16 games, are you really going to definitively reach a conclusion which was the right choice over less than 1/4 of a season?

I’m not sure how anything I said could be interpreted as definitively reaching a conclusion. My second sentence was “obviously it’s very early in the season and Poole should play better…we think.”

Have you not been looking at the posts in here this season? It feels like over half the sub hates him by now. Every single game is an overreaction about him unfortunately
