Hello, i mainly play on my PC with almost high-end spec, but sometimes i want to play on my bed thats why i want to buy a steam deck, but i cant decide which one to buy, i have the money for the OLED but it exceeds my budget. Which one should i buy? i want to play Dark Souls 1 2 3, Lies of P, Persona 5, and many more AAA games on my steam library that i havent played.

There isn’t going to be much performance difference, despite the OLED having a better screen and bigger battery/better power efficiency.

The $530 cost you provided seems close to my calculated cost of a new 64GB unit at $500 (using the $776 as a basis), which is right around what I would consider paying if I wanted to buy a used Steam Deck with a 1TB drive installed, provided it was in good cosmetic and working condition.

So, if you really wanted a Steam Deck, and you had a limited budget, the upgraded 64GB unit seems like a decent deal. But, depending on your budget, you also have the option of getting something like Backbone/Kishi or other phone holder/controller device and stream from your PC to your phone using moonlight.

If the oled exceeds your budget, get the LCD. Alternatively, keep saving up until you can get it without breaking the bank

There are 2 main differences between OLED and LED version other than some minor differences such as slightly better performance, slightly more silent fans and a little better touchpad(as I hear- I might be wrong here)…etc. The big difference is of course the secreen. I am told it looks amazing. The LED one is good-looks pretty so don’t get me wrong but OLED is probably as good as it gets. Super eye pleasing. The other main difference is the battery. OLED one can run (I assume) about %40 longer then LED one. Don’t forget that those AAA games you want to play will drain battery fast so with LED one you will need to play plugged most of the time. The smaller games will not be an issue, you can play them for 5 hours non-stop with LED no problem as long as you limit your brightness, device power and framerate a bit.
