It’ll be my father and I’s first Cowboys game in Dallas. This one is decades in the making.

Does anyone with experience going to games have any advice? We aren’t really familiar with the area.

When does tailgating normally start or is there much tailgating in Dallas? Any nearby restaurants that people recommend for before the game? How does traffic look like leaving the stadium? Is it worth taking an Uber instead?

Any other tips would be kindly appreciated.

      Any advice for mitigating it. People have recommended walking from Texas Live and also taking a shuttle from O’Gilligans

        Well, what I did was go sit at Texas Live and have a post-game drink/appetizer and wait it out. It was doable for me since I was travelling alone, but may not be for you.

          We are staying a couple miles from the stadium. Not too far. I like the idea to hang out until uber fares drop.

    Doors open two hours before game time. I suggest you find your seats. And then go walk around so you don’t spend two hours just waiting.
