Dobbs was terrible against a Chicago team that shouldn’t be trying to win any more games to secure two picks in the top 5 of the draft.

At least start Hall and give him at least until the half unless he is dreadful. Dobbs in the backup role.

Just a reminder, Kirk was playing at a probowl level before his injury. Better resign him on a short contract.

Jaren Hall was higher in the depth chart than Dobbs before his concussion, so 100% yes.

Of course he was higher in the depth chart than the guy who’d only been there for a few days.

Hall isn’t next man up, Mullen would play.

It’ll be Mullens. Being the vet they’ll give him a chance to beat a couple other backup quality QBs on the road. If that doesn’t work out then Hall will get his audition to close out the year.

What if both teams were trying to lose for picks?

It seemed pretty pathetic on both sides.

Id just like to see what he has to offer. No time better than now to see it in a real world non-preseason game. If we lose a few more games, so be it. Id like to see it.

Even if JJ played tonight I don’t think it would have mattered. Addison was open many times and just think back to that pass to Addison that he couldn’t stay in bounds.

Dobbs is a gimmick QB that will work when teams don’t have time to prepare for him.

I think everyone knows what Dobbs is at this point. He can come in as a back and make some plays, and keep you in games. He will probably never be a full time starter, but he has earned a job as at least a backup QB in the NFL.

I wouldn’t mind throwing Hall in there to see what we have in him. He probably won’t get playing time next year if we draft a Qb or bring Kirk back. Now is the time to play him. Hall would have two weeks to prepare.
