Just hypothetical talks. 92 games into a number 1 picks career on a team who is displaying historical all time bad numbers, I thought averaging 22/3/7 was quite good. Considering the guy hasn’t been able to string together a year of ball since he has been in the league also.
However every time I come in here I see people just talk negatively about Cade. Sure you can mention his deficiency’s, but calling him a role player is a bit much, no? Regardless, what would you guys who don’t rate him want for him in a trade? Not that I’m advocating for it, I would just like to see your guys potential alternatives.
Realistically I’d take Michael Porter Jr and some fillers for Cade.
2024 unprotected Washington pick + Kuzma. Pistons would get another crack at a high pick, a player who can at least play some basketball rn, and then not have to give Cade a max
Just because I don’t think Cade is the guy means I think we should trade him. Frankly, his trade value is in the shitter. He’s played horribly, and he’s gonna ask for the max extension. We aren’t recouping anything of value in trading him away in that scenario
I think Cade could be a solid #2 option on a winning team, but probably not a championship team. Picture replacing Jaylen Brown with Cade…that team is significantly and obviously worse, and the Pistons with Brown would be significantly better.
Lol Brown has 5 more years of NBA experience. What? I’m willing to bet money that Cade will be better than Brown with 5 more years of NBA experience.
Low motor, always high Cade?
Doubt
We’ve literally never had a competent roster around him to use him properly. He’s not experienced enough to be the Lebron James of this shitty team.
Good NBA teams do not field starting rotations made up of players with only 1-3 of experience for a reason.
