I’m replacing my old Dell latitude E7440. I spilled some juice in the crevice the screen and it’s all dark and messed up and eight of the keys stopped working all of a sudden. I’m just looking for an adequate laptop no more than 350 for the Cyber Monday deal that’s mid range; able to play older AAA games like Dead Space 2 and DMC 4, and with fast speed and internet browsing, which I was able to do on this messed up laptop. Any recommendations? I’m looking at the Acer Aspire 3

That does look solid. The Ryzen 5 5500u actually is faster and better for games. Acer only recently stopped selling an Aspire 3 with a Ryzen 5 5500u. So, it should be available new.
Walmart had some good deals too that seem to be still be available. They had an Aspire 3 with an i5 version 12 at 400. They also had an Asus Vivobook with an i3-N chip, which is actually pretty good for about 375.
I also saw Staples had some nice Ideapad 3 models with i3 version 11 or 12.
When you say Acer just recently stopped selling the 5500 you but then you say it should be available new… new where? And for how much I’m guessing that the I5 version 12 at $400 is stronger; we’ll probably come up to 435 with taxes. That will be too much. I’m not gonna be really playing any modern recent releases I’m just gonna be using it to play a few older games, web browsing and watching videos and movies, and doing some work. Also the Asus vivo book with the I3-N Chip I’m guessing with taxes that will come up to about 450 or something that’s also too much. And the idea pad 3 with the I3. I’ll check the prices on those.
