It hasn’t been great, I won’t lie. Protection is collapsing at points, but I wonder why?

I’ll probably get lambasted for saying this but there has been a number of people blaming the O-line for Dobbs as struggles but in reality they are Dobbs fault.

Dobbs is a run first, pass second QB. If his first option isn’t there, he starts to run. If he feels any pressure, he runs. If he doesn’t take off when he feels pressure, he does the wrong thing. Earlier in the game, he started moving sideways when he felt pressured. You’re supposed to step UP when you feel pressure.

The O-Line has been noticeably worse since Dobbs stepped in because of Dobbs. He scrambled all over the pocket, and often he turns his head away from the way the receivers are. You are NEVER supposed to turn backwards away from the receivers. He runs into pressure, and forces his Line to run around trying to block once his Line loses the angle they have on their man.

The Line forms a U shape, and once you leave the U shapez you’re gonna get sacked if you don’t hurry. Dobbs leaves the shape too often and it just doesn’t work.

I don’t hate Dobbs but the O-Line has been significantly worse because of him.
