It is fair to say that, along with Chelsea, Manchester United have had a horrid start to the Premier League season, which will be slightly compounded by the fact that they have lost yet another Manchester derby.
Sure, everyone knows the skill gap between the two at the moment, including Manchester United fans, but there was still some hope I am sure that they would put on a valiant performance and get a point at the least.
Nevertheless, despite the outcome of the match, I wonder, what is going wrong at Manchester United?
Injuries are a key part of it, but the mood in general seems very downtraught for a long time now.
However, I do think that Erik ten Hag is still the right man for the job to carry United through this tough period. And I don’t think it is the manager at fault here.
Replacing him will do no benefit, and if anything, it might do them more harm. Moreover, there simply isn’t a better manager on the market that would do a better job.
I feel that United fans have to, yet again, be patient with the team and wait for their better players to return from injury and then assess the situation then - similar to the position that Chelsea finds itself in.
I agree. It’s good to laugh every week. Please keep those terrible managers and teams.
Sitting Varane for “ tactical reasons “ to play Evans instead. Bought Antony for 100m and Mount for 60m just to have them on the bench. Team has no style or identity. He’s been backed very well financially and they’ve actually regressed. I don’t think he’s the guy for the job.
