So, the oled just dropped. For the people who bought gen 1 decks. Couldn’t we theoretically buy the oled screen by itself and swap it out? Or is there something I’m missing?
My thought process is someone with an oled is going to crack the screen at some point. What happens then?

No. The internals have been significantly modified on the OLED version. Also, the OLED screen is slightly bigger, since the OLED Deck has smaller bezels.
I’m pretty sure valve has come out and said it’s not physically possible.
