I was thinking of getting myself a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti sneakers. Under the product description of most of their leather sneakers (unless they are very exotic, like Python or Croc), they only mention the color of the leather. If it’s a black pair of shoes, then they would just call it black leather, and if it’s army green, then they would just say army-green leather. Is it just your standard calf skin? I’m also curious if this is a standard practice among many luxury brands. I only have limited exposure to luxury fashion houses (LV and Brunello Cucinelli), and as far as I remember, they are always transparent with the leather they use in their products.

It’s just normal calf skin but it’s some of the best sourced leather around. Guiseppe Zanotti and most luxury brands usually do a terrific job in using the best leathers and fabrics around.
