To me it’s been pretty clear over the past few weeks, Canales inexperience as a play caller and managing game situations has been a concern.
It’s also apparent as other teams with lesser talent put up points against defenses we struggled to get more then 13 points
This along with Bowles specialty focus on defense, I wish we would have looked for a more experienced play caller/game planning opposed to a guy who made geno Smith play well.
I was asked in one of my previous posts, who would have been an alternative.
My question is, would have you preferred one of the following who changed teams this past season to lead the offense.
Monken would have been my pick but not sure if he would have wanted to return to TB
Wish we did more homework on Moore and Bienemy
Kellen Moore (SD OC from DAL)
Eric Bienemy (WAS OC from KC)
Todd Monken (BAL OC from NCAA)

Where we fucked up is promoting Bowles to Head Coach. I still think he’s one of the best DCs out there. But we’re most likely firing him after the season. We could have had a line up of good coaches to be the HC on Bradys team for his last year and kept Bowles at DC where he excels. Not like we can demote him to DC after this year now.
