I have SSD Samsung 870 QVO 1TB and had Qubes encrypted on it and had to boot into a live linux and use gparted to be able to format it because disk management on windows simply froze at 0%.

Also checked for bad sectors on the ssd and it came back completely fine

The write speeds are virtually 0 so done a quick format on it using the windows tool disk management and tried putting files on there and same issue, the speed is virutally 0.

Tried to update firmware of the ssd using samsung magician and it says its up to date and this software was unable to do a benchmark on the ssd and gave a generic error.

Made sure the boot order was fine in bios.

After all this I decided to try doing a full format (not quick) on the ssd using disk management and it started fine and got to 22% and its now frozen and in task manager its showing the ssd is at 100% usage but doing 0 and then 22kb speed.

I think I may resort to getting a new sata cable to see if that is the issue.

But does anyone have any guidance on how to fix this issue? The ssd is virtually new and I don’t have a warranty for it.
