Bestselling Irish author Sally Rooney has announced that her books can no longer be sold in the UK due to the British government’s ban on Palestine Action.

In a statement on Wednesday, the award-winning Normal People author said that due to her publicly-stated intention to go on supporting Palestine Action, including with royalties from her work, “the fulfilment of contracts to publish my work in the UK could now constitute a serious criminal offence”

I signed amd sent an email attesting my support for PA to some entities related to judiciary and law enforcement in Britain. It was part of a large group effort online.

I forget who it was (something akin to Defend Our Juries), but I was cautioned that I should consider the risk of detention should I ever travel to the UK again. So I’ve informed family and friends that I will likely not be returning there. Simple.

I just had a quick look on Amazon and you can still buy them. But what caught my eye on the listing I looked at, Conversations With Friends, has this warning:

    Product Safety

This product is subject to specific additional safety warnings

    Warning:Only for domestic use

    What on earth?

That aside, this whole Palestine Action business is such obvious bullshit. I mean, this is a country that has decades of experience of actual terrorism, with bombs and bloodshed galore. People who support Palestine Action aren’t terrorists. Everyone knows they aren’t. But our arms dealers need those shekels, so here we are.
