35 points?!?! Reggie Jackson dropped 35 points on James Harden, Paul George, Russell Westbrook and Kawhi Leonard, in LA, no Jokic, no Murray, no Aaron Gordon.
Reggie Jackson and Deandre Jordan outscored that Big 4 66-63….is this is rock bottom for this team? Surely you can’t come back and win a championship?
And why is Paul so asleep on defense?
Rock bottom doesn’t come until the end of the season. We have been trending down for two years now, and we have now created a team made up of fat and happy ex-stars who are retiring in beautiful Southern California. This team is not going to all of a sudden find leadership, drive, chemistry, and hustle. We put together a group of guys that are in the “I’ll show up and cook” parts of their careers. This is a Master Class in how not to build a team and win a championship.
So to answer your question, yes, it’s over. It’s been over. I just hope they actually rip the bandaid off and stop putting us through this 213 agony. It’s not fun. Fans can’t even understand that they aren’t rooting for PG and Kawhi to win a championship together, they are rooting for PG and Kawhi to be in their late 20’s again. The future is dark. There is no light, hope, etc. We Clippers fans have to ride this train without power into the night for a long while, hoping we finally reach a station that can provide us the support we need to recharge and move on.
You’re dramatic as hell tho, at the ABSOLUTE worst, we have a new arena with an owner that cares and will spend to improve in all facets of the franchise. That alone puts us ahead of a lot of other teams. Then if you add the destination of LA for rich athletes??? Now we’re immediately in the top 7 or 8 free agent destinations in the league, yearly! So even with no draft picks and letting the big 4 sign elsewhere, we definitely could build a team that’s at least easier to watch then whatever the fuck this current team is 😂😂
Being a “destination” team is partly what got us into this mess. And Balmer having money to spend doesn’t matter in a capped league
Say it again for those in the back!
It matters for all areas except the roster. Investing in the team is way more than just a salary cap. The destination part is a double edged sword but a good FO would rather be a destination than not
Just for the sake of discussion… what are your top 7 or 8 free agent destinations?
Miami, Cali, NY, Texas (maybe??) LA gotta be near the top
