I need a little help deciding on a gift. I’m looking for a birth year watch, the recipient prefers mechanical movements and I know he’s interested in adding a chronograph watch to his collection, but also needs a more casual option that could be dressed up if needed. I’ve found a few options, but not sure which I should go with. Hoping for some input from people who have more expertise and knowledge than my base understanding.

Options:

  1. Seiko Chronograph V657-8060: I know they like seiko and this one has a really stunning blue dial. My main concern is this was listed as an automatic but I don’t believe this model came as an automatic, I’ve only seen quartz. I reached out to the seller to clarify.
  2. SEIKO SCUBA SBBC005 7N35-600A: Quartz but very good condition. He already has divers so I was aiming to stay away. This one is a bit dressier than his others though.
  3. Citizen Eagle 7: Nice looking, great condition in box, and automatic. But citizen isn’t a brand he’s been excited about from what I know.
  4. SEIKO 7T32-7A99: Good condition and well under budget but quartz.

Now for the really extra option that is over my expected budget but I could pay off within a few months. I know he loves omega, so I’m really considering busting my budget for this one.
