I know a lot of you shit on D’Lo. But if we get Lavine, it’ll be similar but Lavine will be in a worse fit because he cannot pass. Lavine brings nothing to a team outside of scoring and he’s only averaging 22 PPG on one of the worst teams in the league. He’s a guard that relies on athleticism to score and his athleticism is waning. He can’t playmake and he can’t defend. He may have been worth going after a year ago. But not anymore.

And this is not me defending D’Lo. Whatever D’Lo is, he is. If you’re low on him, you should be low on Lavine. If you’re high on him, you should be high on Lavine. Because right now they are similar caliber players. Lavine might be worth getting in a straight up deal for D’Lo or Reaves. But packaging anyone or any picks is not worth it.

Don’t you think it makes no sense comparing a player under a long term contract that is ready to be traded to other that is earning half of his previous salary and is fighting for a better deal next season?

Look at the best seasons of Lavine and DLo and what they have done in playoffs. Lavine is a slight better defender, most consistent shooter, can attack the basket, can create for himself and is going to have a ton of open looks playing alongside LeBron someone with superior court vision and Davis a player that is getting double teamed often.

The cost may be high throwing Rui, Vando or Reaves, but if we could find a way to get Caruso back that may become interesting.

Why would I do that? Lavine was a better player than D’Lo. If he is now, it’s marginal.

A fair take, but the Lakers have to make some kind of move.

    Stagnation is death.

We lose (or fall behind and require a big comeback win) the same way every time. We need to fix these weaknesses.

I don’t care about LaVine specifically, but something must be done.

Because Lavine has checked out… Same thing as Harden when he looked like a bum but suddenly looked like an all star again post trade.

And frankly idc that DLo has looked solid so far. At this point you can’t ignore his historically awful playoff stats. The sample size isn’t tiny anymore

Zach lavine is a total upgrade from Dlo. Look at Lavines last 3 seasons vs Dlo. Lavine is an elite scorer and much more consistent than Dlo. Lavine would be even better with lebron and AD.

I would trade reeves and Dlo for Lavine. Doesn’t make sense to pair them together on floor and Lavine is better than both players

Agreed. Our roster is not the issue. Injuries and and consequent lack of chemistry on both sides of the ball are due to little to no continuity. Also, DLO is the better playmaker while Lavine is the better scorer. In that regard, I vote DLO.

It’s a good thing this fanbase isnt in charge lol

Why do we have to only focus on lavine? By the time December rolls around there’s gonna be other options out there.

I honestly we rather go for a true center.

I have watched a lot of the bulls this year and one thins is for certain… I have zero fucking clue if he is actually a player that can make a team better or if he’s a stat guy. We’re better to just keep upgrading role guys

That’s not what this is about, it’s about the fact that we need a playmaker in return

I don’t want LaVine either but what kind of delusion is this post? How has DLo played better than LaVine by any metric?
