Tabor mentioned that they have talked about changing some things in regards to the offensive philosophy, but that you can’t overhaul everything. What changes do you think we actually see?
I’m thinking RPO, power run scheme. I posted a quote of Tabor’s that leads me to believe he and others on the staff have seen some things that can be done to shift some of the offensive struggles. I doubt it leads to wins this year but maybe helps course correct this malpractice of coaching we’ve seen.
Hopefully more of the play action rollouts that worked really well, that Reich refused to use more often.
Maybe a few small wrinkles like, more PA Pass, RPO, and Motion, but I doubt we’ll see anything substantial until week after next.
The playbook won’t really change, but we will definitely see more gadget plays and probably more deep shots to threaten the deep plays. It’s amazed me that we don’t take the chances on deep plays more often
