Feels like that game didn’t give any clarity for JF1 and the next 5 games will be a continuous evaluation.
If Getsy was fired or replaced we’d have a fair evaluation of Fields. That won’t happen this season, so Fields is done in Chicago. He will probably go to Atlanta and ball the f*** out and set records there. I just wish we had a chance to see Fields without throwing 20 screens a game.
Did you ever consider this is the game plan because fields is just black Mitch trubisky.
“They don’t let him use his athleticism and they don’t call bootleg even though he does really well in it.”
At this point, it doesn’t matter if Fields throw for 500 yards every game from here on out.
People made up their mind.
My opinion is this. If they keep Flus, keep Fields. If Flus is fired, trade Fields.
It’s as simple as that.
If he throws for 500 yards once this season I’ll change my mind about him.
Yes it’s still very much in question, and I think that how the Panthers finish the season will ultimately have a bigger impact on the Bears decision than how Fields plays. That’s a guess on my part, since I don’t expect any huge changes in how Fields plays down the stretch. If the Bears end with the ability to take one of the top 2 QB prospects then I think there is a very good chance they take one of them. If the Panthers end up winning a few games, then the Bears probably go BPA and keep Fields around.
I don’t think there was ever a reality where a single game was going to be the eureka moment good or bad.
Any good performance would tempered by his inconsistent past while a bad performance in any one game might not be the nail in the coffin for him.
At this point I think as fans the vast majority have picked what camp they are in and every game will only reaffirm that position good or bad
It was always going to be the final 7 now 5 games for evalutation. It was never going to stop after 1 or 2
