What is in your opinion what we are missing from this current lions team to match up to how good that defense was?

Interior pass rush!
Give opposing QBs no time to throw, and you don’t have to worry about who is in the secondary.
TL:DR - Suh
That team had veteran Pro Bowl/borderline PB players to go along with the younger guys like Slay and Ansah—Suh, Quin, Levy, and Digs were all 5th year+ guys.
We also had Kocurek and Austin on the coaching staff, which couldn’t have hurt the situation
Man imagine if Kocurek was still here…
All around speed. Miami would kill us!

After injuries this year, the defense front to back was better in ‘14. Id take 2014 at all 3 levels.
