Considering a career change into mechanics and heavy duty diesel mechanics, what would a salary of a commercial vs plant fitter look like? Is the workload widely different? Would it be worth it?

Body Work. Questions related to dings, dents, accidents, paint and so forth DO NOT belong here. Take the car to an auto body repair shop who can give you a qualified estimate.
