Currently the two most winningest head coaches ever fired in NFL history are:

  1. Marty Schottenheimer from the 2006 Chargers. Career 47-33, 0.588

  2. Tony Dungy from the 2001 Buccaneers. Career 54-36, 0.600

Sean McDermott is now career 68-41, 0.624, including being 6-6 at the moment.

Firing him now would set the NFL record for most winningest HC ever fired.

Likely already pointed out but that Bucs team won a Super Bowl the very next year.

Good. Everyone’s replaceable. The only thing that matters is whether or not they’ll get this team to the Super Bowl.

It would be the absolute funniest thing if the Bills win the Superbowl this year lol…

    I can dream.

Firing McD would be the most Bills move ever.

Let’s go into the offseason with no OC, no HC, no DC, an aging and injured Defense, an aging WR1, no reliable WR2 and a generational MVP caliber QB going into the peak of his career.

Keep Josh, keep McD. Have Beane make some Saavy moves to bring in some fresh WRs and defensive stability. We are not a team that needs to rebuild, we just need to refresh the roster a bit.

It’s fun to discuss, but he is back next year save for getting blown out all remaining games.

Maybe they should get rid of Allen, sure he’s thrown lots of tds but look at all the ints! Tyrod held onto that ball like crazy, half the tds, also less than half the ints, this non conservative qb is killing us!

I heard Nate Geary post game on wgr reference a stat that’s amazing. If a head coach/QB combo haven’t won a Super Bowl in their first five years together, then they never have in the history of the league.

If he still has the locker room at the end of the season then keep him around. I think that will be dependent on how they finish the year if the players are still backing him. If he stays they need to hire an actual Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach, preferably someone outside of the McDermott circle of coaches.

If the Jets were to fire Saleh, I would hire him immediately as DC.
