Really want a Longines Zulu but…stupid SWATCH

Its really overpriced compared to other watches compared to other markets/country

I will take the US and three other watches as examples.

The Tag Heuer Carrera in the US is 3200 USD Here it is 3400 USD (inc tax) Also 5,88% price difference

The Tudor GMT Pepsi in the US is 4375 USD Here it is 4172 USD (inc tax). Also 4.87% price difference

The Breitling Superocean Heritage II 42 in the US is 5550 USD Here it is 5960 (inc tax) Also 7,02% price difference

The Zulu time 39MM in the US is 3150 USD Here it is 3775 USD (inc tax) Also a whopping 16,56% price difference!!!

When it first launched here it cost 3230 USD A 3,55% difference and in 5 months increased to 3775USD!

This is not only a Longines problem its a swatch problem the Aqua Terra in the US cost 6300USD Here it cost 7290 USD A 13,58% difference…

I’ve checked many other watch companies and there is only single digit differences accros US and our country, but when it comes to Swatch Omega/Longines they are WAY up in the double digits!!

I love the Aqua Terra and wanted to get it a august 2022, since I couldnt choose which color and size combo I wanted last time I choose another watch. Went in this august to buy it, walked out with another watch again since it had risen from 5650USD here to 7290USD from august 2022 to august 2023.

And now the same happened with the Longines watch I wanted!!

SWATCHs much higher price increase compared to others in our country makes other watches a better proposition, there is only a 400usd difference here between an Aqua Terra and DJ41. and a difference of 2000usd SMP vs sub in our country vs in your. 1300usd more for the Moon watch here vs US.

And the Longines cost 3775 USD vs 4172 USD for Tudor GMT only a 397USD difference, compared to a difference of 1225USD difference in the US!!

Omega used to be an expensive but attainable watch here now its way less aittainable. And Longines used to be an extemely good attainable quality proposition but has crept up to Tudor prices here, and still increasing. It frustrates me.

I know it has to do with our weak currency Against strong swiss as well but almost every other watch Brand has a single digit difference here vs the US compared to way over double digit for Swatch (Longines/Omega).

I really want the zulu 39 the urge is as big as the AT was before it before I got another watched I liked as much for the same pourpose, and now swatch is ruining Longines for me, I am considering it in gold also instead of green but the price difference is even bigger here vs US, it’s 5200 usd vs 4300… what you guys think? Its more difficult to buy a watch when you know the price discrepancy is way bigger in a negative way compared to other watches making it loose it’s positive points (way cheaper than Tudor gmt with almost or same quality nope, almost same price) same with AT vs DJ41, 2200-2300 difference in the states, only 400usd difference here, because the AT is way more expensive and the DJ price here compared to US is in the lower digits it’s 7,14%.

See if you can find a lightly used/pre owned one. All swatch brands depreciate pretty aggressively
