It’s a work in progress, but I decided to try to make the theme we talked about in an earlier post I made. I’m trying to get it as close as I can to the Menu UI in Morrowind.
I’m gonna tell my kids this was morrowind
Love it. I d love to have this on KDE. I have no idea where i would srart to make my own.
I guess its time to learn linux
It’s always time to learn Linux ❤️
Wow so nostalgic, I love that
Fuck. YES.
Incredible work. Well done.
Thank you!
It should play a little Morrowind jingle on boot lol
This is so bizarre yet awesome. I love Morrowind.
This is actually well done 😭
The perfectionist in me says it’s not close enough to the original, but I needed to give it a rest for a bit before working on it more.
waiting intently for progress.
can you make the startup sound ‘you n’wah!’?
I mean yeah if I can get a sound clip
its in the game files somewhere!
oh! make it an error noise!
it’s not close enough to the original
Since you made your original post only a DAY ago I’d say you’ve done amazing work in that short time!
The worst part was getting the texture to show in the title bar of the app window. Almost gave up and felt like it was a stupid idea
Pursue the fixation and hope you enjoy the end result 🫡
I can hear the theme music.
It looks like 90’s banking software or something.
This is so cool haha
Make a whole morrowind themed OS please
Don’t give me any ideas!
Vvardenfell OS. It’s got a ring to it!
ChimerOS (ky-mer OS)!
Oh man, it absolutely does.
Holy shit yes. How would one go about making something like this for plasma?
I wish I knew. I’m super not good at plasma
This is absolutely fantastic!
I am, for the first time ever, sad that I use Plasma on my main desktop. :(
This can definitely be made to work in Plasma. I’ve installed a couple of themes that mock Haiku/BeOS and CDE.
By the nine! I will definitely have to look into that! Thank you kind stranger for letting me know. :D
You’re welcome, traveler.
The problem is, of course, the “modern” trend of client side decorations, and that every app is now a glorified Electron website.
I miss simpler times.
Shit looks tight. You are close to your perfectionist goals!
Thanks .
The font feels like it might be a bit off, but its coming together very well.
Yeah it’s a Google font that I’m not sure matches. I really want to find a better one.
The font used in game is Magic Cards (If you have Morrowind installed it’s in Data FIles/Fonts/Magic_Cards_Regular.fnt) but from what I can see on different font sites it doesn’t seem to include a space character, the fonts linked by UnpledgedCatnapTipper and cadekat both seem to be an exact match for the letters though so I’d go with either of those.
Thanks! I’ll check it out!
It’s this font: https://www.1001freefonts.com/goudy-mediaeval.font

Would https://isaskar.github.io/Pelagiad/ work?
I’m assuming so
