Hi all –

Car novice here with very little mechanical knowledge. I bought a low mileage 1990 Toyota Corolla recently in very good condition overall, as I really like the look and feel of cars from this era. The shop I took it to, after looking it over, just recommended I replace all four struts and that I source the parts myself to save money.

When I search for the parts on eBay / Amazon, I see standard struts assembly kit (the cheaper option) as well as coilover shocks, which are a bit more expensive. This is a daily driver, not looking to modify it or make adjustments to the suspension in any way. Should I just fo with the regular struts assembly?

Thanks!!
