I don’t think they are, generally. The bigots have just figured out that putting out their bigotry with a “feminist” framing gives them legitimacy and makes it harder to attack (see also “we need to get rid of Muslims as they don’t treat women as people”).
Checked with my wife, “jk Rowling is the wicked witch of the literature world”. So not all the women here thankfully. Mostly just a few rich arseholes trying to ruin things. Same old story.
So I mean like yeah I do agree about that but the rich people have to latch onto something that already exists. Like in the US, we have more wedge issues than we do things that bring us together, made it easy as fuck to target our bigots of varying flavors.
Bigoted women here are massively outnumbered by our normal women so they’re mostly shamed into nonexistence (wish far more that we could do the same with the men). It seems like that’s not as much the case over there but maybe that’s really just media bias.
There’s some of course, somewhere around 15-25%, less than the men as is sadly standard. Looks like there’s another 25% edging towards nervous thanks to the media coverage.
