The Miami Dolphins have played four games since Ramsey came back. In that time, they have given up just 28 points on drives that didn’t start after turnovers. They have given up 36 points either on turnovers or drives that start after turnovers.

The Dolphins are giving up more points off turnovers than points not off turnovers.

And what’s interesting too is all are true points off turnovers. None of these are drives where we turned it over deep on the opponent’s side of the field and they went down and scored.

The 36 points include 14 on defensive scores (fumble vs the Chiefs and interception vs the Jets.)

The rest are drives that start at the following:

Miami 30 (New England touchdown)

Miami 19 (New England field goal)

Miami 30 (Vegas field goal)

Miami 32 (Vegas field goal)

Miami 35 (Jets touchdown)

For the record, they gave up a total of 16 yards on the three field goal drives. So that’s a total of 81 yards on five drives.

So what do we know? The Dolphins defense is elite. In four games, they have defended 40 drives that began on the opponent’s side of the field and given up 28 points. That’s 7 points per game. Get them in a normal spot and it’s hard to score on them.

It also says that the offense needs to stop. Turning. The. Ball. Over.

In theory, if we just punted on every possession where we turned the ball over we would have a +71 point differential in the past four games.

I genuinely believe if we stop the turnovers we’re a Super Bowl team.

We would honestly be back to scoring 35-40ppg if we stopped turning the ball over
