Following a similar generation logic as river biomes, but a road with a more consistent width instead. Ideally connecting two to three (or more) villages. Would be a neat place to have smaller structures spawn along it’s length too. It’s utility as a road for travel is clear but also there’s something rather romantic about following a road, IMO. The idea that the road leads somewhere. The idea that you can build something along this road and know it connects to something else.
On multiplayer servers I imagine you might see bases naturally clustering along them, plus provides an easy avenue for new players to travel out of spawn areas.
If I kill a wither skeleton in this biome does it count as road head?
And have bridges or maybe a little brick road
Just had me thinking that if it ran on the same logic as river biomes, they could generate as part of the same “network” that recognised the places where they intersect, creating really nice bridges.
R O A D
Or interstate or highway system for the horses and pigs
I like this one big time.
Yeah and maybe have like barrel piles or a broken cart with a chest along the way!
I love this or even the idea of the rivers as “roads” and having little fishing huts, abandoned small farms, a tiny shack with a crafting table inside, etc along riverways would be awesome. It would make traveling by boat much more interesting and make me want to explore waterways if there were potential signs of life out there
You could call it the trail biome!
what would be neat would be if they actually added atmosphere to the biomes instead of dead and lifeless with no movement. try the game Vintage Story sometime. that game the grass and leaves etc blow harder or not at all based on the wind and storms etc. seasons etc all would make the game feel alive.
FUCK I LOVE THIS IDEA
