Colt McCoy Film Study - The mission of the 2023 Green Bay Packers was to determine if Jordan Love is the team's QB of the future. Colt McCoy and Josh Norris ...
It’s worth getting multiple views. Some of the most interesting stuff is where there is slight disagreement or different perspectives.
There was a play in this game both JT and Colt cover, it’s a clearout + dig + RB checkdown that Love hit to Dillon for 11 yards and first down.
JT was a bit more critical of Love, saying that while it was a solid play, he thought that the dig was open.
Colt points out that the LBs are bailing to try to take away the dig (although it doesn’t look like they would get enough depth the take away the dig) and really liked Love’s decision to get to the checkdown.
But then Colt also follows up with GB running the same play, flipped, later in the game. He shows the LBs attacking the flats and Love pulling the trigger on the more wide open dig route. JT tends to follow the plays of the game in order, so I really liked this element of tying together two versions of the same play even when they happen at separate points in the game.
If there’s no hand slap at the start of the video, I’m not watching.
