The fan goes on and off continuously, sometimes in a regular, 30-60 second interval.
When I open the lid to wake from sleep mode, the computer/fan roars like it’s gearing up for some wild Herculean effort! (Meanwhile I’m just trying to do my schoolwork, shop irresponsibly, and attend Zoom appointments.)
As I use multiple tabs in Edge, it’s started taking too much time for pages to load, etc. When I click, there’s a spinning wheel or sometimes it’s lagging so behind that it won’t even let me click.
I wish I had a computer like they have at my school and workplaces. Those never break a sweat no matter how many tabs, apps, and media you have running concurrently!
I have heard that a good approach for a workhorse laptop on the cheap is to buy a used, spec’d-out ThinkPad on eBay. But ideally I’d like to figure out how to make what I already have last as long as possible. I’d appreciate any advice either way.
Thank you in advance!
