I updated to windows 11 on my laptop. Everything worked fine for a few days but this morning I couldn’t access the web so I assumed my internet was down. I tried on my desktop pc and the internet worked fine. I also tried streaming via my Roku stick on my TV and that also worked fine. So it wasn’t an internet issue.

Then I connected me laptop via mobile Hotspot (with my mobile connected to said Wi-Fi network) and it worked perfectly all day.

But whenever I tried to turn off Hotspot and connect my laptop directly to Wi-Fi, I can connect to the network, but I have no internet access.

I restarted my laptop several times but the issue persists.

Any ideas why this is happening?

It seems odd that the same Wi-Fi network works via mobile Hotspot but not with direct connection.
