This is mostly for anyone who doesn’t really tamper with the performance settings.

When running a game that is locked to 60 FPS but running at a 90 HZ refresh rate, you can experience a game that feels choppy.

It’s not really noticeable in regular gameplay but I figured I’d share in case anyone does.

The video’s below shows how when the frame limit is set to 60 the character moves at an even frame pace, where as when left at 90 the character moves at different frame intervals.

So would it be ideal to disable in-game frame limiters and just let SteamOS handle it, since the FPS cap slider is now tied to the refresh rate too?

I don’t know what the best solution is, but to ensure I’m capping at 60 fps and refresh, I cap the fps in game, if I can, and also change the refresh rate to 60hz. I just do both. Takes only a couple seconds

From my understanding, ideally you should not set two framerate limiters as they can interfere with each other.
