Also known as “underrated gem”…something you took a complete leap of faith on because you either heard so few people mention it or you heard people mention it, but were completely hesitant to jump in.

For me? I have 3 that come to mind.

3rd place: Luigi’s Mansion 2. I kept wanting to hate it, but after a while, it grew on me.

2nd place: Planet Robobot. While this may come as no shock to some who have put this game on a golden pedestal, I’m that one guy who has to be reminded how great Kirby can be for sone reason. I went in thinking “Mech Kirby? This’ll be way too easy”. I thought there could be no game to dethrone Crystal Shards in my eye. Planet Robobot crushed those shards into a fine powder, vastly exceeding my expectations. While the mech is OP, you don’t always have it and every time you you get it only got 10 times better. That suit has become part of me (in a sense).

1st place: Yoshi’s Wooly World. I went in blind as a bat, only hearing that no Yoshi game has lived up to the expectations since Yoshi’s Island. I was expecting hot garbage…instead, I was treated to the coziest video game I’ve ever played. Little stress and a title that honors my expectations of the Yoshi name. It’s not perfect, but the whole game feels like a hug!

I had been thinking about checking this out but have barely heard anyone talk about it, nice to know it’s good! How is the difficulty with the tactics combat?
