Every single postgame the negative comments on mark roll in, but he’s by far the best coach the thunder have ever had, and one of the best in the league in my opinion.
Maybe you disagree with a few moves here and there, but he has a team we expected to be in the playin, in second place in the west, despite giddey playing like a less athletic less skilled Kyle singler.

The Giddey “slander” is more about his poor jump shot and defense
The thunder run an offensive system where they want everyone to be able to pass shoot and defend, giddey can only pass, it kills their spacing and hurts them badly defensively, that’s my issue
I don’t need or want hero ball, I’d be fine with micic in that role, or a Mike Conley like player, as long as they can hit an open shot and stay near their man I think it would help this team

Being our best coach isn’t really a big feat as you think lol
He is young and he is learning.
I’m not saying he’s goin in the hall of fame, just saying he’s getting slandered daily, and I think people forget how many bad coaches there are, and how tough it is to coach. The team always comes prepared, he makes timely and important substitutions, and by playing lots of players, keeps everyone engaged and keeps the team fighting hard.
I’m saying he is HOF.
And I’m always right.

I think it’s fair for people to get frustrated when a game is winnable and to give it away.
Whatever your theory or reason is behind it, if we don’t play our superstars and we play Lindy or some other move and we lose the game, then yeah people are going to be upset because the game was winnable.
So far the teams we’ve beat have all been a bunch of scrubs. But the tough teams like wolves and 76ers? Lost by 3. Lost by 4. Definitely winnable, and it never feels good to lose.
Fans need to understand that the Thunder are going to run 10+ man lineups every night. Especially through like 80% of the season. Those deep bench guys will continue to get looks so they can develop.
I don’t think guys getting minutes has ever been a complaint. Keeping both superstars out while you sub in guys that lose us the game is a crazy concept
Best coach we ever had
Wolves fan here. Have always been impressed by Daigneault’s coaching when the Thunder roll into town. The play-strength of the entire roster is consistently top tier - there’s no complaining or wasted effort (something I can’t always say about a few specific Timberwolves). That’s notable and rare for such a young team. They’re all buying in to something, and that likely starts with the coach.
We stole a slugfest last night but you guys are absolutely terrifying.
