I purchased this laptop on Black Friday for around $690 but the display is starting to worry me and I’m not quite sure what I should do. It has a 250 cd/m² IPS panel with 45% NTSC color range with a glossy screen according to this website. I’m not sure if I should return it for the price I got it at or just wait it out until next Black Friday because one, I need it for school, and two, the Laptop will arrive this Saturday so I would have to wait and find out. Every review I am looking at on the Best Buy website is raving about the colors with only 2 that I could find mentioning the dimness of the screen so I’m not sure if HP has changed their displays for their 2023 models or if its still as crap as the past screens.

I got an Ideapad 5 from Lenovo with a LCD FPS screen. It depends how much you care, but I find streaming video looks good. I sometimes watch Sunday Night NFL on Peacock, but the colors look good to me re all the uniforms and action looking the same as a 1080 tv…

Asus sells a lot of OLED laptops if that’s what you want.

I returned my DOA Mac and got this one but with intel version and very happy so far with the exception of the touchpad feeling slightly less than perfect. Perfect for some moderate applications, web browsing and excel
