It’s easy to feel frustration with certain aspects of this team’s offensive and defensive schemes. The Bucks are currently number 3 in offensive PPG at 120.9 and number 23 defensively at 117.8 PPG.

If you’re feeling frustrated or think we should be playing better basketball, I understand your sentiment. But it’s important you keep in a mind a brand new coach, a brand new star, a recovering Middleton and changes to our schemes means we are not going to be the same team in 6 months.

We are 13-5 and it’s pretty obvious we are still shaking the rust off. Dame is still learning his place and finding his comfortability. Griffin is learning how to be a head coach and managing expectations, while trying to properly manage superstars.

Here are a couple changes that have already occured since the season started:

We have already adjusted our defensive scheme and put Brook back into a drop coverage.

The rotations have changed and Dame now plays the entire 1st quarter, helping him find a better flow.

Give it time, in a lot of ways, this is a brand new team and 18 games is way too few to jump to conclusions.

And yes a defensive minded wing would be lovely.

This is the most entertaining Bucks team we’ve ever had in my opinion. Can we appreciate how great this team is in 4th quarters now that we have Damian f*cking Lillard on our team?

They have time to figure it out, and you need to fail to work through how to solve the problems you’ll face down the road with the new players.

I think the Lillard and Giannis two-man game has a lot of room to grow, and they have only scratched the surface.
