      I think it’s closer to an unhackable Gobert. Wemby in the paint is going to be a tough matchup even if every part of his jumper never materializes.

    then he keeps running after the closeout so someone has to take off as soon as you shoot, or he’s already at the other end in 3 steps. the only solution is a bigger court

    OP, the gap between Wemby and Capela is 6.7%. Who is at 8.4% BLK/DFA? In other words, the gap between Wemby and Capela is as wide as Capela and who? And where does that player rank?

    Yet it’s the shots that don’t even exist that show his ultimate defense value. Multiple coaches and commentators have lauded their teams for “not challenging Wemby”, so he’s effectively a hole in the court that other teams are stepping around.
