    I think people in this thread are looking at this from the wrong angle. If I was a parent of that girl, I would absolutely want this situation to blow over asap given that my daughter’s life has been doxed to all hell and everything there is to know about her is publicized bc of creepy people on the internet. Them doing what they think is best for their daughter is completely independent of how they feel about Giddey

      Do you think the girls parents should let the relationship continue? It may be questionable behavior on his part, but at least not a rapist. Imagine if they stay together, in 10 years their age difference will be negligible

    One question I have about all of this, is that IF (big if) Josh truly met her in a club, and she lied about her age, and they were together for long enough to take multiple separate videos together and send videos to family (without anyone saying anything). Would Josh still not be guilty of also being in a club underage and getting in because of his fame?

    Is it really fair to hold Josh to this victimhood that he was looking for people his own age when he was under 21 as well? Im not saying the difference in lies is the same number, but I am saying it feels odd to hold Josh to something that he himself obviously didn’t follow.

    But more importantly, everyone doesn’t want to flap their gums to the police. The moment this minor speaks up, she’s on public record and will be not treated like a hero, but instead like scum by trolls and haters - online and offline. There’s great shame to sexual assault. I’m sure right now there’s a “Thunder fan” who is boiling over even at the notion of Josh Giddey being accused and would target their hatred and anger at this minor.

    It’s so easy to go “WELL I WOULD…” until you realize your daughter, who may or may not have purported herself as a an adult, is now getting treated like a punching bad where strangers are reviewing her looks, her voice, where she lives, what she likes, what she posts…and you just start wondering if it’s better to stay quiet and “let this blow over”

    Again though, this could be headed towards a private settlement where Josh is exonerated from anything civil, which may be advantageous to him as even if he didn’t penetrate or fondle her, he doesn’t have to discuss it out loud in a court room civilly.
