What a win! At the end of the day that’s all that really matters, and the IST progression is a bonus.
Now that we’ve had the time to enjoy the win, needless to say the amount of missed FT last night is actually unacceptable. The team missed 15 FT, with 8 of those belonging to Fox. That is not pro basketball and we have to thank the probability gods that Monk made that final shot which was in terrible form. The amount of missed FT by our stars this year is staggering and is going to generate losses if they don’t figure it out.
Unfortunately I don’t know how “coachable” that is - FT at home should be one of the easiest tasks for an NBA player.
They all shoot FTs in practice, they’ve all been shooting them their whole careers to get to the NBA. This is a mental block issue and repeating how easy they should be doesn’t actually help.
You know who takes FT well in clutch time? Monk.
Absolutely. I think he was just under 90% last year. And to be clear, it was kind of a bonehead shot but Monk is probably my favorite player on the team because despite his questionable decisions he always comes out to play.
