So I bought an Onkyo for $1000. Spent extra to get Dirac live for room correction. Dirac set up fails a lot when testing sound, when it doesn’t fail there always seems to be a problem with at least one speaker. Since then I’ve found the equalizer in the menu options. So do I really need Dirac or will the eq settings work just as well? Is Dirac just setting eq settings or is there more benefit to using Dirac Live?

I have the same AVR… never had an issue with Dirac except it fails if I have my sub turned up too high. I’m really curious what’s causing yours to fail
