I mean, duh.
Services and ‘play anywhere’, broad accessibility, is the future.
I don’t care for this, but I recognize and have to remind myself that I’m not part of the more casual and vast majority.
I’m not sure if they’re talking about making the cloud version available or actually releasing native games on PlayStation and Nintendo consoles. The latter would be a hell of a shift, considering they killed a PS version of Starfield. The former is something they’ve talked about for years.
All I really care about is getting it on Steam Deck. That would be great
MS could definitely do some sort of first party only gamepass offering that I imagine a lot of these companies could be open to
You can easily play Gamepass games on the Deck, at home at least, if you have a gaming desktop (like I’d assume most Deck owners do). You just setup Moonlight/Sunshine, install Game Pass on your desktop, and stream your desktop to the Deck. It works flawlessly on every game I’ve tried so far. There’s zero input lag. The only way you can tell it isn’t actually running on the Deck is that the game looks/performs too well, your Deck fan doesn’t even turn on, and your battery lasts like 6 hours or more.
Halo on PS5…
This feels like a predicate to possibly not making any more consoles.
I know Sony doesn’t want it anyway but if it happened then if it’s already hard to reason taking an Xbox over PlayStation… it’s going to make no sense after
If they brought it to Linux/steamdeck, I will be so happy
this make they looks desperate
Linux?
Microsoft don’t want to be in the hardware market. They’ve been signalling this for a while now, imo they want to become like Valve. I think this would be a huge mistake, and make their fuck ups with the xbox one look like a little hiccup in comparison.
Then they need to STOP all the gamepass scams going on. They don’t care. I won’t even crossplay with Xbox users.
“Every screen that can play games” huh? How about the Steam Deck?
They already have some steam deck verified games
Well tough shit microsoft, never buying game pass. Ever.
It should be telling when Microsoft literally want to put their exclusives onto PlayStation
