I have a 2014 328i xDrive with an N20 motor and 147 000 KM. I’m well aware of the timing chain issues from that year. A reputable third party BMW mechanic quoted 3200 CAD to replace the timing chain.

My options are to sell the car for ~14k CAD or fix the timing chain and keep it. What do do here?

I should mention I paid 4k CAD a few months ago to replace the drive shaft and transmission, after they both blew on the highway. I’m afraid if I keep the car the money pit won’t end.
