should I drive my 04 Highlander with PO138 code?

I drive a 2004 Toyota Highlander. This PO138 code for oxy sensor 1 bank 2 came on a few weeks ago then turned off. It turned on again today after driving for a minute, it seemed to run ok but smelled pretty bad when I got out. Could driving with this code on or could I potentially damage my car?
