I know back in the day I could look for the vans that had the word “pro” in the name and I knew I could trust the shoe to handle the abuse of skating without blowing through the canvas in a couple of sessions. Someone since told me that they scraped that and now we need to look for the white shoe boxes.

Is this true - does white box mean a more durable shoe? Are these chukka low Sid’s I just purchased going to survive skateboarding? Thanks Vans people!
