I know he’s kind of played as comic relief, but I feel like it would just make sense before we see his inevitable self-sacrifice as a way to maybe gain more with the show audience. We have already begun to see his growth from just a hot-headed douchebag and I think this could also help recontextualize his trauma that he has alluded to and evolve his character.
