Was on the phone with Verizon for 3 hours. My router has a solid red light and not getting wifi

We checked the OTN box outside and the correct lights are lit

We tested this router and also a wifi extender with multiple Ethernet cables

I just took off the faceplate of the Ethernet port in the wall and everything looks fine… could a wire possibly just be bad or the Ethernet female piece in the wall be blown? All the little wires look connected in there.

I do have an appointment with a tech for Friday but since it seems to be a house wiring issue, there will be a few.

Can anyone give advice on what to try before then in hopes to fix it? I work from home and really need wifi today.

While I can’t help with that aspect, I can suggest a workaround; using a cell service Android phone and an app like PDANet+ to tether your phone’s data as an Internet connection for your computer.

Back in the day I used PDANet+ and may have had to get FoxFi but it worked for me for many years. I still use it in a pinch sometimes
