In my Haynes manual for my 1997 RAV4 it says to use NGK BKR6EP-11 plugs or equivalent, but on NGK’s website it says that type of plug is incompatible. Do I listen to NGK’s website or the Haynes manual, which I think was last updated in 2013? Also I was told by a mechanic that Autolite spark plugs are “just bad” and shouldn’t be in my car. I threw those in because I just wanted whatever was cheap and it hadn’t occurred to me that it would matter. What are your thoughts on this, Toyota mechanics?
