I don’t understand how people can discredit his achievement. Yes I know people like to favor the pass rushers because they’re on the screen more often and their impact is more visible, but it’s not enough for me. People get double digit sacks every year. People have crazy pressure statlines every year. Nobody has EVER had 5 pick 6s in a single season and the record that Bland broke stood for 52 years. He needs to be in the MVP conversation, not just DPOY.

I don’t understand why he’s not the favorite. He did something that literally no one has ever done before. We’ve seen dominant pass rushers like Garrett and what, but we’ve literally never seen a ballhawk with the ability to score as many TDs as top tier recievers
Agree. For Bland to get 5 pick-sixes should be viewed akin to as if Parsons or Garrett got 23 sacks.
