I just saw a video of someone showing of their kef R3 (non meta) and they had strong woofer excursion (the woofer driver moving in and out). And out of curiosity I checked my R 3 meta and they don’t do that at all. I do hear the bass clearly and pretty strong but almost no visible movement in the woofer.

The video: https://youtu.be/jDb1QswKY8k?si=GTOpNsS1R6zeBVXR

In the comments of the video he says it is filmed with no slo mo camera mode on iPhone.

I there something wrong with my r3 meta?

When you see these videos on YouTube people often play tracks that are mixed in such a way they play bass notes that fall far below 20hz, emphasising xmax on your woofer. That paired with high spl means “make woofer move big time”

The likely answer is they are playing a record which combine with warps is having feedback issues. Likely the turntable is too close to the speakers and of a crap design common with cheap turntables.

Could this be an effect similar to wheels turning the wrong direction in old Western movies? You might see a (nonexistent) movement because the membrane moves in frequencies close to multiples of the frame rate, with which the video was shot.
