Both of these moves sabotaged these teams windows quicker, and set back these teams for years to come

The titans were never winning anything with AJB, the packers drafted a QB when that was the last position that would help them

This is such a stupid loaded question and bitching about either of these trades in retrospect is stupid

The Titans were never going to pay AJ Brown $25M/year. There’s nothing wrong with any team deciding against paying top dollar for a receiver. They are rarely worth it, and you need the right roster. At the time of the trade, they had a low passing volume offense centered around Derrick Henry. They also had no idea about their future at QB. Signing Brown simply didn’t make sense for their roster.

As good as Brown is, they are way better off with Hopkins (who is still an absolute baller) at whatever they’re paying him. Getting a first for Brown was a great deal for them considering the alternative of him walking away for a comp pick.

Rodgers is a fucking diva and the Packers weren’t going anywhere with him. He was wearing out his welcome, and he sure didn’t seem to care too much about retiring a Packer. They needed a transition plan. Contrary to popular belief, HOF QBs don’t grow on trees. The Packers have not invested that much in Love and if he’s not the guy, they can take another shot like every other team that doesn’t have a franchise quarterback.
