Took my car to the mechanic bc it was shaky as hell, and then they told me that one of my coils had gone out on cylinder 3…
they said the lifespan of the coils is around 100k, so might as well replace all 4, but they want to use 4 new DENSO ignition coils, which are around 135 each… my total with labor would be around 700.
I’ve done a quick google search and 4-packs of the Duralast brand coils at autozone go for 240 (here) and I’ve seen much cheaper on places like Amazon and other places.
I think I should replace all 4 coils since they all came with the car and have 100k+ miles, but should I go with the DENSO parts or save money with other brands?
